You will work as part of a close team of driver managers and also work closely with other managers across the business such as Performance, Safety, Customer Service and HR, and manage the relationships with key stakeholders such as Network Rail.
This post also entails a commitment to train and deliver courses and refresher training for the Operational Experience Exchange Programme whilst this project is still on going.

In May 2018, Transport for Wales appointed KeolisAmey Wales Cymru as their Operator and Development Partner to realise a multi-billion-pound transformation of the Welsh rail network.
With the oversight of KeolisAmey Wales Cymru, AmeyKeolis InfraCo (operating as Transport for Wales Rail Services) will form a revolutionary new organisation responsible for operating and maintaining the Core Valley Lines infrastructure from January 2020. Transport for Wales Rail Services will be responsible for day to day management of railway infrastructure assets, renewals and asset operations management for the next 14 years.

· Degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in a numerate discipline
· Core Microsoft Office IT Skills (Excel, Word etc.)
· Substantial experience of working with stakeholders to understand their requirements
· Proven experience of information management, governance and assurance frameworks
· Good knowledge of railway network, capacity, capability and geospatial data
· Good understanding of geospatial datasets and related management systems
· Good interpersonal, leadership and influencing skills
· Experience of team management
· Self-motivated team player able to work on own initiative whilst interfacing with senior management and operational teams.
· Ability to develop written procedures and process maps with others across the organisation to improve asset management-based processes.
· Take responsibility for Asset Management data processes
· Ability to create and implement Key Performance Indicators and set monitoring systems
· Report writing skills
· Understanding of Master Data Management approaches and methodologies
· Experience of Enterprise Asset Management Systems (EAMS) preferably Maximo.
· A working understanding of Network Rail systems such as TRUST, PPS, GZAM etc
· An understanding of Network Rail’s asset systems
· Understanding and experience of Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)

Reporting into the Delay Attribution Team Manager, as a Delay Investigation Manager you will actively support the delivery of Operational Excellence for our customers and our client. You will manage yourself and motivate others through displaying exemplary behaviours and supporting the Performance Function to enable business change and Operational Excellence transformation, as aspired by our client.
This role will ensure that Transport for Wales Rail Services (TfWRS) manages the Delay Attribution process in line with the Delay Attribution Principles & Rules (DAPR). As a Delay Attribution Subject Matter Expert, you will guide the business on best practice – influencing at all Management Levels – to make sure the attribution process is adhered to. The role will also involve working closely with Network Rail Delay Attribution staff so that delay minutes are attributed correctly so that the key performance metric – Passenger Time Lost (PTL) – is accurate.
Excellent numeric, IT and analytical skills are essential, as is an extensive knowledge of Excel. Alongside this, you will have an adaptable, positive approach to working in a fast-paced environment.

The role of Train Planning & Diagramming Specialist will involve working as part of a team responsible for delivering the amended weekly timetable bid, rolling stock and traincrew diagrams to prepare robust, effective and customer friendly plans.
This temporary position will involve liaising with Network Rail and other train / freight operators in preparation of timetable bids in line with the requirements of industry regulations and timescales, and to meet business objectives (including commercial, operational and performance criteria).
Working against strict deadlines, the successful candidate will produce comprehensive rolling stock (vehicle) diagrams for each week to meet amended timetable specifications and fleet maintenance requirements, and prepare traincrew diagrams that are compliant, and deliver a train service that will meet the franchise performance targets in a timely manner.
