    Crewe £49,132 per annum

    Are you a Qualified Train Driver, who strives to provide excellent customer service?  If yes, then then it’s time for a change of scenery!

    Based at our Crewe depot, we are looking for qualified drivers to join our talent pool, to fill positions as and when they occur. These roles are full-time, working 35 hours per week over 4 days.

    Specifically, we are looking for people who…

    · Understand what our customers want and put customer service first.

    · Always provide a safe working environment for our customers and staff.

    · Are proud to wear their uniform and look smart every day.

    · Remain motivated and enthusiastic to perform all aspects of their role to a high standard.

    · Are conscientious and make timely decisions based on their knowledge of rules and procedures.

    · Go above and beyond their normal working duties during times of disruption.

    What else you'll need to know

    We’re here for our customers, whenever they need to travel, which means your shift lengths & patterns will vary – so you’ll need to be flexible in your working hours.

    Hours -

    · Working 4 days per week with an average of 35 hours per week

    · Your shift pattern will include early starts/late finishes and also working weekends & Bank Holidays

    Do you want to play a part in driving the changes to the rail network in Wales?  

    If so, this may be the perfect opportunity for you to pass on your passion and enthusiasm to others!

    We have an exciting opportunity for a driver to be seconded into a driver instructor role in our Rhymney depot for a period of 6 months.

    Based at Rhymney depot, this role will allow you to get involved in a range of activities; you will be responsible for delivering driver training/briefing, coaching and supporting drivers who are returning to work, mentoring drivers undertaking route learning, and completing driver assessments where needed.

    You will also provide support and feedback to the Driver Management Team when required.

    You must be a qualified Train Driver, with at least 3 years driving experience and knowledge of routes and traction for the Rhymney network. You should excel in your current role, have excellent written & verbal communication skills and above all, possess heaps of motivation for the driver role.  You will need to hold or be prepared to work towards the Coaching & Assessor and Presentation Skills awards, as well as having good IT skills.
